• ABOUT EVENT:

Pauline Massimo is offering 2 classes, one hour and a half each, for a progressive and researching-focused class to explore approaches and different perspectives about Shibari with the intention to help each participant to be the most authentic version of themselves.

Over the course of the two classes, Pauline will build space and moments for frank conversations to find how they can work together with the participants in creating a framework and redirect their enthusiasm about Shibari towards a more authentic approach.

The class will accept participants of different backgrounds, folks with different levels (above total beginners) and with a varied interest in exploring Shibari such as riggers, models and self-tying folks.

Pauline will give practical and theoretical exercises to follow, will listen to feedback on the live class and between classes from participants, and more.

This will not be a typical class where specific ties and patterns will be shown, nor the focus is to follow patterns but to question everything we know and find our own way of practising Shibari closely to what can fulfil us in multiple ways. This class is meant to guide and share different approaches to folks who might feel lost or are in search of trying different things, for those who are looking to recover the joy of doing ropes, for those who might be confused from the start or for people who are just curious as an example.

Pauline will also help participants with troubleshooting technique issues to improve and polish their ties when necessary.

• WHAT TO BRING:

You should bring some ropes, as many as you can, like and feel right to participate at the moment. Something to add notes. Recommended something that helps you to be grounded and relaxed when needed.

• IMPORTANT:

To make the most of this class is super important that most participants are in the live class. This class is not designed to be watched later but to be enjoyed and experienced live. Ideally, the approach is to join this class if you can attend both of them live to engage and work together, but in case of an emergency you cannot attend one of them, Pauline will try to find a way to make you feel included on the exercises and discussions and a recording will be sent out. The idea of the class is to work with a diverse group of people to go deeper each day.

It’s also very important to get the most out of this class to be able to make some of the exercises between classes.

• WHEN:

This course is a continuous series of 2 classes, each of 1 hour and a half, on the 26th of October and the 2nd of November from 22:00 to 23:30 CET / Central European Time (Pauline is based in Barcelona, Spain).

• FOR WHO:

This class is designed to fulfil all roles playing parts in Shibari, such as people who tie, people who get tied up and people who self-tie.

We understand that not everybody has the privilege to have a rope model or a rigger close by for classes at specific dates and times but we highly recommend at least attending the class alone and engaging when possible or even practising sometimes alone if fits than not attending at all.

• WHERE:

The class will happen online on our own streaming platform, the participant's camera will not be recorded but the audio will be for the recording review in case others who could not attend this day can have a complete experience.

The class will be only available for 7 days after the recording is released (usually the next day). Participants can rewatch as many times as they want and review the content, make more notes and share with their tying partners if necessary, after the time limit the class will be deleted.

• TICKETS:

Ticket prices are per person participating. If you are a couple, please buy two tickets.

Tickets are available with a discounted rate of “early bird” only for a limited amount and time.

The regular tickets are at the usual rate available until the spots are filled.

We can offer a reduced-price ticket for folks who are in a difficult economical situation, please send us an email.
