Massimo Harnesses class is 1 hour and 21 min long.

Maximalist ties and comfy suspensions is 1 hour and 53 min long.

Pauline Massimo will show their maximalist harnesses creations that they have been working on in the past years, and learn how to tie a multitude of harnesses by understanding how it works the engineering behind this tying technique. Finally, they will share some comfy suspension ideas using those harnesses.

Workshop suitable for all levels, difficulties, and complexities will be shown progressively to suit beginners to advanced participants.

This style is characterized by feeling like one of the most comfortable harnesses out there but is also very versatile for riggers and models to play with. You just need enough ropes to execute the ties. It's a very forgiving harness for newer riggers and suitable for all types of bodies. Especially for models who do not tolerate too much pain and pressure on their bodies or just want to feel cozy while tied up.

Some of those ties are suitable for self-tying folks, except the harnesses that include the arms.

Programm for 2 classes:

-Multiple Massimo harnesses demonstrations with in depth explanation

-Suspension up-lines anchoring for each harness

-Demo suspension ideas

-Feedback, suggestions, tips, answer questions

Requisites:

• For beginners with basic knowledge of anatomy, frictions, and safety both models and riggers/self-tying "Massimo harnesses" demos will be suitable. For the intermediate level with enough experience in tying harnesses and minimum knowledge of up-lines for suspensions for both models, riggers/self-tying will be suitable for the partial suspensions and basic static suspensions. For the advanced level with all the previous knowledge mentioned and with enough experience in suspensions both models, riggers/self-tying will be suitable for the more advanced and complex suspension ideas with transitions.

PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT to tie above your level and hurry into steps that you are not comfortable executing. The more advanced exercises are only for participants who really understand with enough time and hands-on experience to be able to execute, appreciate and avoid critical harm.

What you need:

• You will need your own ropes and safety cutting tools.

• You will need as many ropes as possible, relatively most harnesses take 3 ropes to 4-5 ropes to tie with. Depending on your model/your own body -> the ratio rope size might vary a lot and you might want or need more or fewer ropes. We recommend ropes between 7,5 m to 8 m, longer is exceptionally welcome from 9 m to 10 m.

About Pauline Massimo:

Pauline Massimo (no pronouns/they), with roots in Brazil and feet in Barcelona, co-founder of Espacio Nos and Learn Shibari.

They have been very intense and proactively involved in Shibari for a decade, exercising multiple roles as a visual artist, performer, instructor, organizer, learner, researcher, mentor, and among other things, nationally and internationally. Their way of feeling, experiencing, and exposing Shibari, starts from its interdisciplinary and multifaceted base where they explore the infinite relationships with other disciplines and ways of coexisting in the world with a strong tie to radical politics, social constructions, neurodivergence, etc.

They have vast experience giving workshops, classes, lectures, and courses on Shibari and interdisciplinary practices contributing from their own perspective as a rigger, model, and selftier in well-known rope spaces in Europe such as in England, Mexico, Germany, Czech Republic, France, Spain, Costa Rica, Martinique, Colombia, Portugal, The Netherlands, as well as in Brazil, Turkey, etc.

They opt for a more progressive way of studying and learning, choosing precision and detail in their classes. They work from an approach where it takes the student's existing knowledge as a starting point and helps them to realistically approach their goals, always keeping their feet on the ground with conscious practice.

When Pauline is talking about Shibari and teaching, always has in their mind the involvement of both roles with their own complexities and contributing inputs. Both the rigger and model coexist independently and need attention separately, but also as a team working together in having a productive, positive, and intimate journey.

As an agender person, they have no pronouns or gender reference but do not mind having neutral terms used toward them (They/them, for example).
